The Snail's Trail

In May we set off with the snail for a 5 day journey along the sea from Newport to Truganina, as part of Hobsons Bay New Art Program, stopping along the way for tea, sights, lunches and overnight stays.

The Fremantle International Street Arts Festival

After a four year Covid hiatus, the festival was back, and Bogomila and Son were, as you can see, absolutely delighted to be there again.

Snorkelarama!!

Joondalup Arts Festival, WA, and Whittlesea Community Festival, Vic

Rose Shiraz teamed up with Colby Stilton's cousin, Coral Grimshaw to bring the Quiz on Wheels to the stage at the Nillumbik City International Women's Day Dinner

Agricultural Shows

Entree at Cohuna Show, Gastropodia at Shepparton Show, and there was Snorkels at Yea as well.

Back as part of the Creative Metro Thursdays at Fed Square, with Perky and Fiddle, The Quiz on Wheels, as well as Snorkelarama and Angelic

The Sleep Keepers, Wyndham Children's Week Picnic at the beautiful Werrribee Mansion

Warrnambool's Christmas activations, an the Hume Winter lights Festival were both graced by the silver angel.

Awesome International Children's Festival 2022, WA

Originally commissioned by Awesome in 2005, Beasties loved being back at the festival.

Creative Metro, this time Snorkeling in the rain in the Albert Rd Reser...

European Tour

Tour highlights - Gastropodia in Berlin, the Oldbuggas in Switzerland running their unique brand of market stall, and working with Cocoloco and Laura Stam productions.

In the July school holidays, we worked again with the Shire of Campapse, this time bringing Gastropodia, to tour the streets of Echuca, Kyabram, Rochester, and Rushworth.

In May, Miriam was back with David Murphy's Fibonacci's Genie project, working on a remount for a new Melbourne winter festival.

Wellington Shire, Victoria, brought Beasties to the town of Sale for the first week of the 2022 April School Holidays, and to Yarram, Stratfield, Maffra, and Heyfield, for  the second.

Party in the Park 2022

Cruden Farm, Langwarron, Melbourne, is the Site for Frankston's Party in the Park, April 10th, a day of activities for children, and Perky and Fiddle, those sometimes badly behaved garden gnomes, are there for it.

Creative Program Fed Square

Thursdays in Melbourne's Federation Square, January to April, saw the Snorkelers flippering about, and the Marquisa Dor's flouncing around, as part of the Metro Tunnel Creative Program.

Macedon Autumn Festival 2022

The Macedon Autumn Festival, Victoria began late March for a month of events, with Beasties visiting Romsey, Woodend and Gisbourne, April 2nd and 9th.

Arden Station Open Day

Metro Tunnel opened the ongoing works at the new Arden Station, North Melbourne, to the public for a day of tours of the tunnel, activities, and performances, including Gastropodia and Snorkelarama.

Whittlesea Community Festival 2022

The festival was back this year, for two days at the Plenty Ranges Arts Centre, with Gastropodia roving the gardens.

Peninsula Picnic 2022

Peninsula Picnic, Mornington, Victoria, back on again, and Beasties are there for it.  Stilton and Shiraz, from Kinetics new roving act, The Quiz on Wheels, are also present, bringing their unique brand of gameshow humour and frivolity.

Born in a Taxi, one of Melbourne's premier theatre companies, presented the Butterfly House for the City of Glen Eira, Melbourne in April.  Throughout March, Kinetic's Miriam Ceh, worked on the design for the remount.

Moonee Valley Festival 2022

Moonee Valley Festival, Melbourne, a series of events February and March, has Gastropodia at its Twilight Concert, and The Quiz on Wheels at Jazz in the Park, Essendon, as well as the Marquisa D'ors at Centreway After Dark, East Keilor.

Wine and Cheese Fest 2022

Kinetic's new roving act, The Quiz on Wheels, premiers February at the Cheese and Wine Festival, Melbourne. Stilton and Shiraz are gameshow hosts with the most! But the most of what is the question...

Festive February in Melbourne

The silver snorkelers were out for Melbourne's Metro Tunnel Creative Program, Thursdays in Fed Sq and a return performance at The Frankston Waterfront Festival. Meanwhile the giant hairy snail was discovering the delights of The

St Kilda Festival, reimagined this year as a series of events over a couple weeks.

Snails and Angels

2022 started with a January performance of Yatsik the giant hairy snail snaiiling about as part of Wyndham City's celebrations, in the west of Melbourne.

 

Followed by Angelic performing as part of the Colours of the Rainbow in a Diverse Community exhibition opening at the Louis Joel Arts Centre, Altona, Victoria.

It's a Melbourne Christmas, 2021

Kinetic returned for a week of Christmas performances in Melbourne, starting with Angelic for Moonee Valley City in Kensington and Essendon. Angelic is also part of GE is Open, in various locations around Glen Eira.

Then the Oldbugas brought some Christmas cheer to Burnley as part of Metro Tunnel's Creative Program, followed by the silver snorkelers from Snorkelarama at Sandringham.

Live from the Kitchen Floor

"Angelic at Home" - commissioned to be part of a project run by Ceres Fair Food, Melbourne, featuring seven Melbourne based artists, creating works during the recent Covid lockdown.

Metro Tunnels Creative Program

Snorkelarama  at Sunshine Station in July as part of the ongoing arts initiative together with Metro Trains Melbourne.

Chadstone

Throughout the autumn and winter months, Chadstone, Melbourne, held its own mini festival, with a program of music and arts, Thursday to Saturday evenings.  The angel, the snorkelers, the dinner trolley, and the golden marquisas were regularly gracing the grounds.

 Art and Culture Strategy Review

We were delighted to be part of the City of Nillumbik's process in April and May, collecting feedback and views on art from the local public. And the chickens.

Creative recovery in Echuca

Beasties and The Oldbugas traveled to Echuca, Victoria in April, thanks to the suppport of the Campapse Shire, through their creative recovery grants program.

Some Other Events

We were busy in various parts of Melbourne, with Beasties welcoming in May at the Laverton Block Party, but unfortunately getting rained out at the much anticipated Big Picnic in Greater Dandenong.

Our Olbuga cheese expert headed off to Grazeland to be part of the opening celebrations, and

the silver snorkels snorkelled about Frankston's Live and Local events, and super activated various parks for Whittlesea's Super Kids Festival.

Meanwhile Angelic brought it's ethereal elegance to the streets of Stonnington, as seen here with Born in a Taxi.
